Concannon family hopeful as PSNI recover remains for post-mortem and identification
Yesterday the ‘Journal’ reported how the family of missing Derry man John Concannon believed the human remains were probably those of their lost loved one.
Just before 5pm on Sunday the PSNI confirmed that the remains have now been recovered.

Hide AdA post mortem examination and identification procedures will be carried out in due course, a spokesperson said.
Yesterday, Mr. Concannon’s brother Leon Concheanainn said the family were hopeful the 16 month search for their missing relative was nearing an end.
“We’d like to thank everybody who helped with all the searches. It’s been such a long time. I’m actually delighted he’s been found and hopefully it will give the whole family a bit of closure,” said Mr. Concheanainn.
