Constant contact between Derry and Donegal police forces

Police in Derry and Donegal are constantly in contact when 'spontaneous incidents' are reported along the border, according to the Justice Minister Claire Sugden.

“In relation to the Londonderry Donegal border, PSNI have advised that they work very closely with An Garda Síochána along the border,” she said.

“Their Control rooms/Contact centres are in constant contact in respect of spontaneous incidents that involve the border; and local police officers are in regular communication with their counterparts as appropriate,” she added.

West Tyrone MLA Ross Hussey had asked her about “fleeing criminals.”
