Coronavirus: Four of 77 new COVID-19 deaths were of people in north-west

Four of 77 deaths from COVID-19 confirmed by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre in Dublin tonight were of patients in the north-west.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that 77 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in the 26 counties have died.

Sixty-seven deaths were located in the east, 4 in the west, 4 in the north-west and 2 in the south.

The individuals included 32 males and 44 females with one person not specified while the median age of today’s reported deaths was 84.

Fifty four people were reported as having underlying health conditions.

There have now been 687 COVID-19 related deaths in the south.
