Derry man fined for shouting and swearing in front of family with small child

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrates’ Court charged with disorderly behaviour following an incident last August.

Gavin Fisher (35) of Swilly Gardens was charged after police attended the scene of a different incident.

As they tried to arrest Fisher, he shouted and swore loudly in front of a family with a small child.

Police warned him to stop but he refused and was charged with disorderly behaviour.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said these were 'fairly low level' offences and Fisher had consumed drink.

He was fined £120.
