Issue between Derry neighbours leads to man facing allegation of assault
A reported issue between neighbours in an estate in Derry has resulted in a man appearing at the city’s Magistrate's Court facing an allegation of assault.
Anthony McFeely (34) of Glenabbey Gardens in Derry appeared charged with assaulting a man occasioning actual bodily harm on May 30.
He was also charged with non-fatal strangulation and threats to damage property on the same date.
Speaking during the hearing before the Magistrate’s Court in Derry on Monday, defence solicitor for McFeely, Seamus Quigley told the court that this was an issue between neighbours and as a result there would be a difficulty with the defendant returning to that address.

A police officer said that they were agreeable to the defendant being granted bail on condition it was to an address approved by police and there was no contact with anyone else linked to the case.
He will appear again on June 11.
