Man and woman returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on drug charges

Ciara McGann (25) and Shane Whitehouse (26) both with addresses in Beraghvale in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court.

They were charged with possessing class B drugs with intent to supply on September 5 last year and a charge of possessing the drugs on the same date.

It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

Both defendants said they did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

Both were returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on July 3.
