Man charged with voyeurism remanded for bail breach after 'possible drug deal' in Derry pub
A man facing a charge of voyeurism has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court for the second time in two days following a breach of his bail conditions two hours after he was released following a police call out to a ‘possible drug deal’ in a pub.
Cavan White (34) of Rossnagalliagh in Derry was on bail for charges that included voyeurism. He had appeared in court on Monday, December 1 and was granted bail with conditions including that he abstain from alcohol and not have a mobile phone.
Around two hours after he was released, police were called to what was described in court on Tuesday as a possible drug deal in a city centre bar.
When they arrived, police found White in breach of his alcohol and phone bail conditions and also found him to be in possession of drugs and around £230 more than he had when he left custody.

Police objected to bail as he has 136 previous convictions and 38 breaches of bail, telling the court that they had 'zero confidence' that he would abide by any bail conditions, calling it 'extremely likely, if not guaranteed' that he will reoffend.
Defence barrister Grainne McAnaney said that White had 'taken full ownership' to the possession of the drugs but added that he has 'made efforts to seek treatment' for his drug addiction.
District Judge Conor Heaney said that White was 'unlikely or incapable' of abiding by any bail conditions set by the court.
The judge refused the bail application and White will appear back before the court again on December 11.
