A Limavady man has appeared in court accused of attempting to headbutt a police officer.

He breached the conditions of this bail by consuming alcohol and being out past his curfew. This was the second breach of bail in less than a week.

Police arrested Brolly and his behaviour became ‘highly erratic’.

He allegedly resisted police and attempted to headbutt on officer a number of times.

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said there will be no application for bail.

He said his client is ‘man enough to accept’ he had already been given his last chance by the court.

Brolly was remanded until February 11.
