30-year-old admits wounding charge

A 30-year-old has admitted wounding a man.

Paul O’Neill, of College Glen, pleaded guilty to one charge of wounding relating to an incident on August 2, last year.

Sentencing was adjourned for a Probation Pre-Sentence Report to be compiled.

Defence counsel Eoghan Devlin told Derry Magistrate’s Court his client has started saving compensation for the injured party and expects to have a ‘substantial sum’ before the next hearing.

O’Neill was released on continuing bail to appear in court again on October 7.
