On hearing this, the 27-year-old became abusive to Translink staff and police officers, calling them ‘black b****ds’ and ‘w*****s’.
He was arrested and as he was being transported to custody he continued to be abusive and attempted to spit in the police vehicle.
The court heard he was restrained and attempted to bite an officer.

It was revealed that the defendant had only been released from custody shortly before committing the offences.
A defence solicitor said his client was homeless and had been placed in a bed and breakfast in the city.
He also told the court that Symington had consumed six litres of cider before committing the offence and is someone with alcohol issues.

Hide AdSuspending a two month sentence for 18 months, District Judge Ted Magill said Symington has a ‘very bad record’.
He added that police were only trying to do the 27-year-old a ‘favour’ and he ‘completely lost it’. The judge said this behaviour was ‘unacceptable’ and warned him to stay out of trouble.
