Police confirm identity of man killed in Newbuildings area of Derry

Darren McNally (46) was found dead at a house in the estate, located on the outskirts of the city, on Monday, June 8.

A murder probe was launched following the discovery of his body and a woman was taken into custody for questioning.

Detectives from Police Service NI’s Major Investigation Team said at the time that they have launched the murder investigation following the death of Mr McNally.

“A 41 year old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She remains in police custody at this time,” a PSNI spokesperson said at the time.
