The force said there have been reports of anti-social activity on the city’s southen and western fringes.

“We have received several reports recently in relation to motorcycles being used on public green areas, parks and laneways in the area of Creggan and Rosemount.

“We will be paying attention to the area but we would also ask for your help by calling 101 should you observe this,” said police at Strand Road.

Last week Foyleside SDLP councillor Shauna Cusack called for a clampdown on the reckless use of scramblers and motorbikes in the parks, streets and public walkways of the city during the COVID-19 lockdown.

“It’s absolutely despicable that these individuals think that their pleasure and thrill seeking supersedes not only what’s legal but also the health and safety of others,” said Colr. Cusack.
