Three people accused of entering school as a trespasser

Three people have been charged with entering a local primary school as trespassers.

Damien Condron, (45), of John Street, 50-year-old Noel Gerald Hamilton, of High Park, and 36-year-old Emily Villa, of Bayview Terrace, are jointly charged with entering St John’s Primary School in Derry as a trespasser and failing to leave a public building when requested to do so on September 10.

Condron and Hamilton are further charged with common assault.

Condron is also accused of entering another school, St Brigid’s College, as a trespasser on the same date.

The three defendants were not present for the brief hearing at Derry Magistrate’s Court.

An investigating officer told the court that he believed he could connect all three defendants to the charges.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said the charges would be contested.

The case was adjourned until January 20.
