Translink warn of potential diversion and disruption of Derry bus services in wake of disorder in unionist areas

Translink says there may be disruption to some bus services in Derry and Belfast in the wake of the recent street disorder in predominantly unionist areas.

The 'Journal' understands the situation is fluid and will be subject to review.

However, the public transport company confirmed some services may be diverted to ensure the safety of passengers and bus drivers.

A Translink spokesperson said: “The safety of all passengers and employees is top priority. We are monitoring the situation and working closely with the PSNI. This is a dynamic situation, and we are expecting some level of precautionary diversion and disruption this evening to some services.
