Derry airport duo released

Two women arrested and escorted off a plane by police earlier today at City of Derry Airport have been released from custody.

A PSNI spokeserson said this evening: “Two women in their 30s, who were removed from an incoming aircraft at City of Derry Airport this morning following a request from the pilot, and were subsequently arrested, have been released.

“Both females received a community resolution notice in relation to disorderly behaviour on an aircraft.”

The two women were this morning arrested initially on suspicion of endangering an aircraft.

They were taken into custody for several hours before being released with the community notice.
