Derry motoring offenders andcriminals owed over £2m
Motoring offenders and criminals owed over £2m in fines imposed at Bishop Street Courthouse at the end of September, according to new figures released by the Justice Minister Claire Sugden.
But plans are in place for a new fine enforcement service to help better recover penalties.
The total value of outstanding fines imposed in Derry by September 30 stood at £2,264,295.87, the Minister revealed.

Hide AdShe said: “The plans for the new Fine Collection and Enforcement Service are in an advanced stage and as such existing management information reports are being upgraded.”
It is anticipated that the new service will be operational by early 2017, said the Minister.
