Tim Jackson is an Independent candidate seeking election in the Donegal constituency and a song and video calling on voters to support him has been attracting quite a bit of attention.

Recorded by ‘Starmix,’ the aptly titled ‘I’m Voting Jackson’ is a remake of the famous Johnny Cash song ‘Jackson.’ The track calls out politicans, the Government and their policies for special attention and its opening lyrics include: “We’re not feeling too healthy, our hospitals are getting the axe. Why, when our pockets are empty, there’s water charges and property tax? We’re voting for Jackson.’

The video itself shows Tim Jackson undertaking charity work and also includes a number of memes, as well as photos of windmills and the country’s A&E departments.
