East Derry MP Gregory Campbell tables motion celebrating success of Glasgow football club in Scottish domestic championship
East Derry MP Gregory Campbell is tabling a motion at the British House of Commons commending a Glasgow sports club for winning the Scottish domestic football championship.
Mr. Campbell, who follows the fortunes of Rangers F.C. is to raise the football club's victory over their Glasgow rivals The Celtic Football Club in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
The Early Day Motion will commend 'the outstanding achievement of Glasgow Rangers FC', Mr, Campbell announced on his Facebook profile.
"Nearly ten years ago there were those who tried to break and bury the Club. They laughed and they scorned as we toiled at places like Brechin and Ayr. Rangers rose and fought back and are now CHAMPIONS AGAIN. Reminder to all fans celebrating (and everyone else) please keep safe as we are NOT through this pandemic yet," he said.
