36-year-old receives Adult Caution over fly-tipping in Derry

A 36-year-old man has received an adult caution from police over fly-tipping in Derry.

Another man has been spoken to and a report is being prepared for the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

The actions follow alleged fly-tipping in Galliagh.

The PSNI said: "Following a number of recent complaints from the local community regarding fly tipping in the Black Path area of Galliagh in Derry/Londonderry a 36 year old male received an Adult Caution on June 17 for the offence of unlawfully disposing waste.

"A 27 year old male has also been spoken to by police and a report will be prepared for the Public Prosecution Service.

"Police will continue to work with our community partners on this issue and ask all members of the public to act responsibility in the disposal of waste."
