'Enforcement action will be taken' - Derry Police highlight 'inconsiderate parking' on Society Street and Magazine Street
Police in Derry have highlighted ‘inconsiderate’ parking at Society Street and Magazine Street and said enforcement action will be taken, if necessary.
Police said that when officers from our Foyleside and The Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team were in the area on Wednesday. ‘there were a number of vehicles parked where they shouldn't be.’
A spokesperson said: “While advice and guidance about parking legally and safely has been issued to a number of drivers in the area, officers will take enforcement action if necessary.
They continued: “Our ask is for everyone to park legally and safely at all times, and to be considerate of residents and other road users.”

“Avoid parking in a way that causes an obstruction, for example, on footpaths.
“We understand people want to park where it’s convenient but, as with all parking, this must be done in a safe and legal way.”
Photos were also published on the Police Derry City and Strabane Facebook page of vehicles ‘parked where they shouldn’t be’.
