Glen kitchen replacement scheme to get under way in 2021 with preparatory survey to be conducted

A survey of properties will be conducted prior to the units being replaced, she stated.

However, Ms. Mullan said the scheme will be rolled out in the current calendar year.

“We have had a number of enquiries from Housing Executive tenants in the Glen Estate regarding kitchen replacement schemes due to the age of their current kitchens,” said the Derry MLA.

The Housing Executive has advised the local representative that they are planning the kitchen replacement scheme this year.

“This will be preceded by a preparatory survey being carried out in each Housing Executive property which is eligible for a kitchen replacement.

“We will liaise further with the Housing Executive in the coming weeks and advise residents of further updates,” said the local Sinn Féin representative.
