A new bus route has been arranged until this work is completed.

Colr. Dobbins said: “I raised concerns with Translink regarding the bus route through Culmore Rd while the roadworks required road closure during the next two weekends. Translink have arranged the bus to follow a temporary new route as follows: For the weekend 21/22 and 28/29 the bus will travel on Strand Rd, Culmore Rd until Culmore Roundabout where it will then travel up Madams Bank Rd, turning right at Ballyarnett Roundabout past Steelstown GAA and take the (back road) to Muff.

From the waiting bay in Muff it will travel towards Culmore turning down at Arden Rd, around the Culmore Point Rd and exiting right at the Magnet Bar, heading towards Muff, turning left at Red Cross building and back out the Racecourse Rd towards Madams Bank and into the city.”

Colr. Dobbins said that as from 23rd until 27th March the bus will travel on its normal route along Culmore Rd towards Muff, but unfortunately due to the Culmore Point Road closure for this week, the Arden Rd and Culmore Point Rd bus stops will not be utilised.

“I would ask that road users be patient while these works are ongoing as their safety and the safety of the contractors is paramount,” she said.
