Open call to artists as Bluebell Arts prepares for new exhibition in Derry with prizes for winners

The local arts organisation has issued an open call for artists of all disciplines and abilities to submit images of their work.

The title of the Arts Council of NI-funded exhibition is ‘Empowering the Artist’, and the official launch event will take place on Bluebell Arts Derry Facebook. The online exhibition will go live on Monday February 15.

Artists will be able to talk to the public and other artists to discuss the work being exhibited. There will also be a prize for the best work on show, which will be selected by judges. There will be an additional prize for best work by an artist under the age of 25, and a merit prize will be awarded for best work by any artist under 16.

Work for inclusion must be accompanied with: titles, size/dimensions of work, materials/paints used, price (if work is for sale), contact details, online links to other work and artist’s age.

Another exhibition event will go live on the Bluebell Arts Derry YouTube channel on Wednesday February 17 and another on February 19.
