“My party colleague, Infrastructure minister Nichola Mallon is doing a fabulous job in addressing problems in our local transport network and this latest investment follows her approval of a feasibility study into further improvements in Derry’s rail connectivity. Improving our transport system is central to our ambition to improve the economy and quality of life for all people in the city.”.

The scheme will commence near the Curryfree Road junction and extend south westwards for a distance of 680 metres. There will be a full daily road closure, Monday to Friday, between 7.00am and 6.00pm.

A diversionary route will be in place via Trench Road, Strabane Old Road, Woodside Road, A5 Victoria Road and B48 Duncastle Road.
