Toy appeal organised in The Moor area : Residents’ initiative welcomed

Sinn Féin Foyle MLA Karen Mullan has praised people in The Moor for coming together to organise a Christmas Toy Appeal this year.

She said: “We are well aware of the pressures that are placed on families already struggling at this particular time of year and the community always rally at Christmas with a large number of initiatives to assist families at this special time who may be struggling to meet expectations.

“This year the Eamon Lafferty, Ethel Lynch, Pearse Starrs and Martin McGuinness Cumainn decided to come together to purchase gift vouchers in support for the annual appeal. They are encouraging anyone thinking of donating to a charity this year to consider supporting this appeal by purchasing gift vouchers for toys.”

Vouchers can be left at the Creggan Neighbourhood Centre, Corned Beef Tin, Gasyard Centre or Dove House.
