Fashion first at Roco as designer Christopher chooses Derry over London

A Derry fashion designer is to showcase his new collection for the first time in his home town on September 3.

Christopher Reid, who is currently based in London, has decided to premier his new Topher Lily range in at RoCo salon in Derry, rather than in London.

The event will include contributions from other up and coming local designers.

However the centre piece of the night will be the first reveal of Christopher Reid’s latest ladies wear fashion collection - The Degeneration Collection.

Christopher believes it’s important to provide a platform for other designers to showcase their work and that his hometown is the ideal place.

He has previously worked with renowned designers such Alexander McQueen and worked for a private design company designing for music and entertainment business such as the Pussycat Dolls and Brit Award Red carpet. Ronan from RoCo salon in Derry met Christopher on a photoshoot three years ago and was blown away by Christopher’s designs, so they kept in touch and started working on this show, with the aim to build this year on year to help Derry become a Fashion Destination for creatives.

Lucky ticket holders will get a chance to see it first in RoCo on the 3rd September before anyone else. Christopher has an upcoming magazine he is currently working on and it will be packed full of fashion, models and he will be working with other young upcoming designers from all over Ireland.

The night is set is full of surprises.

Expect to be treated like a celebrity as you will be welcomed by a red carpet, bubbly, canapés and a signature cocktail to be revealed on the night. Dust off those heels and get the frocks out as we will have our scouts out looking for the best dressed and prizes will be given out on the night.

Local designer, Hannah Vail will also be showcasing her graduate collection on the catwalk.

Both Ronan and Connor along with Christopher have been working hard planning the show throughout the past few months.

Tickets are priced at £45 each, with a limited amount of VIP tickets, priced at £100 each. VIP tickets include: table service, goodie bags, free alcohol and food, seating area and front row seats.
