Feis Doire Colmcille concert to remember 1916 on Thursday

A concert called '˜Remembering 1916' will take place this Thursday night at 8pm in the Millennium Forum

as part of this year’s Feis Doire Colmcille. The evening will feature Irish music, dance and poetry. ‘Mise Eire’ will be read by Eirinn Clifford from Thornhill College with the music for the piece provided by Clan Colmcille. Dancing will come from the McLaughlin/Leppard Dancers, Cyra Taylor of the McConomy Bradley School and the Gleann AnIocair Dancers. Yeats’ poem, ‘Easter 1916’ will be read by Carol-Ann McConnelogue from Foyle School of Speech and Drama and the ballad ‘Grace’ will be performed by Siobhan Molloy. Other performances will come from the Colmcille Choir and the Derry Male Choir.
