George Best notes stolen in Derry robbery
A number of George Best commemorative bank notes have been stolen during a robbery at a house in Derry.
Detectives are appealing for information following the burglary at a house in The Beeches area of Drumahoe on Thursday March 31.
Police said that sometime between 8am and 5.25pm the house was broken into, and that “a watch and a number of George Best £5 notes were taken”.
Detective Constable Richard Donnell said: “I would be particularly interested in asking a man who was in the area offering gardening services, or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, to contact detectives at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
