Heartbreak as three-year-old Buncrana boy dies in Latvia

Rolands Letina is understood to have died last week in a drowning tragedy. The little boy’s parents are from Latvia and are understood to have lived in Buncrana for a number of years.

Rolands attended Cockhill Community Pre-school. A spokesperson told the ‘Journal’ they are ‘heartbroken’ at the tragic news.

They said: “Roland was a delightful little boy and it was a privilege to have him here with us. The management and staff of Cockhill Community Pre-school are heartbroken by this tragic news. We are numbed by it. We have passed on our condolences to Roland’s parents and family.”
