One Ireland's most gifted television presenters and broadcasters, Gay Byrne, was laid to rest on Friday.

Mr. Byrne passed away at the age of 85 earlier this week - here is a selection of images from the former Late Late Show host's funeral.

Andy Ritchie celebrates scoring.

Pompey's only goal came from the penalty spot as did United's third courtesy of John Sheridan.

A Neil Aspin goal earned the Whites the three points against The Shrews at Elland Road.

The Whites were beaten for the third time against Oldham in less than a month.
