InvestNI backing NW sausage rolls and GAA tops in efforts to achieve balanced regional economy
That’s according to Economy Minister Simon Hamilton, who says Invest NI’s support for McColgan’s and O’Neill’s in Strabane is part of its continuing attempts at helping promote economic regeneration in the North West.
The Minister has also pledged that he will continue to engage with the local Council in order to ensure that these kinds of supports continue in future.

Mr Hamilton said: “In relation to support for the areas of Omagh and Strabane, Invest NI has provided support for several important business investments including McColgan’s Quality Foods, O’Neills International Sports Company Limited and Terex GB Limited.”
The Economy Minister said engagement with Derry City and Strabane District Council will continue to ensure there is a joined up strategy for economic redevelopment with regional and local government both having a role to play.
“My Department and Invest NI have and will continue to engage with all Councils, including Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and Derry City and Strabane District Council, in the development of their economic development plans, to ensure that there is alignment with the Programme for Government (PfG) and the refocused Economic Strategy,” said the Economy Minister.
