Masked men break into home of elderly sisters in Foreglen, Co Derry

The incident at the house on the Muldonagh Road occurred around 7pm on Friday, December 9.

Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Local Sinn Fein councillor, Tony McCaul, said the women were uninjured, and it’s understood the masked men fled empty handed.

“I spent some time with the two ladies and, thankfully, they are okay now, but no thanks to the low life scumbags who carried this out,” said Colr. McCaul. “It was a frightening experience, and there’s a lot of anger in the community about it.”

Colr. McCaul urged people to be vigilant and look out for their neighbours, especially elderly people living on their own.
