Maydown traffic concerns
Enagh Youth Forum said they have been approached by a number of residents concerned in particular in relation to crossing the road to access the bus stop at the entrance to estate.
Local residents who walk to and from the cafe, factory shop, community allotments and fishery said they also feel they are putting their lives at risk without a safe crossing.

Hide AdPaul Hughes from Enagh Youth Forum said: “We fully support the residents request for a safe pedestrian crossing. Perhaps a small island on the centre of the road, or alternatively a traffic lighted crossing would help. This is all about putting people first, saving lives and preventing accidents.”
Martin McCartney, Chair of Maydown Community Association said: “This is an accident waiting to happen and I would re-iterate the concerns of local residents and ask Roads Service to see this situation as a real problem and take action in the interests of health and safety at the earliest opportunity.”
