One-in-a-million Derry ewe gives birth to six lambs

A one-in-a-million Derry ewe has given birth to six live lambs, leaving one local sheep farming family full of the joys of spring.

The Kelly family, whose Carn Farm is located on the Rossdowney Road on the edge of the city, are celebrating after their sheep, a Suffolk, had four ewes and two ram lambs.

It’s believed the world record for the number of live lambs born to one ewe is seven.
