10‑week‑old puppy Dove rescued in Derry as Rainbow appeals for adopters

Rainbow Rehoming Centre is seeking a suitable new home for Dove after the Bull Crossbreed puppy was rescued by a member of the public, who intervened when someone was seen swinging her in a plastic bag in the city centre.

Rainbow shared on their social media that a 10‑week‑old pup was saved last Saturday, and that they are now seeking an appropriate home for Dove.

Rainbow described Dove: “She's a little bundle of joy and your typical puppy, super friendly, super affectionate, super playful, mischievous, curious, and endlessly adorable.”

Dove’s favourite things are adventure, people, and all the attention she can gather.

In hopes of finding Dove the perfect home, Rainbow asked potential adopters to think carefully about what a young puppy truly needs. Puppies require time, commitment, and plenty of energy.

A suitable home for Dove will be one that is committed to the time a puppy needs, committed to her training, and committed to her socialising.

If you believe you can meet Dove’s needs, the Rainbow Rehoming Centre asks that you email [email protected] to request a Dog Application Form.

The Rainbow Rehoming Centre was first established in 1997, in a response to the desperate need to find homes for the hundreds of abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs that were found in Derry and the North West area every year. The Rainbow Centre has continued over the years to care for these animals, give them shelter, provide veterinary treatment and find them loving homes.
