There’s a whole host of events suitable for people of all ages to make some spooky memories.
1. Monster Halloween Funfair
Spooky Halloween funfair in Ebrington with all your favourite attractions for all the family, enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Big wheel and get into the Halloween spirit on the ghost train. 2. Family Friendly Spooky Tours
Get in the Halloween spirit and embark on a walk through the city hearing gruesome ghost stories of past and present. From bones to banshees and skeletons to sinister figures. Fun family friendly activity with a few scares along the way. Meeting Point - Ferryquay Gate. Times: 5pm and 6.30pm. 3. Spooky Paws Walk on the Walls
Join in the Halloween celebrations by taking part in Rainbow Rehoming's fancy dress dog walk around the Derry Walls. Free Halloween treats for every dog that enters and prizes for: Spookiest Dog, Funniest Dog, Most Creative Costume, Gruesome Twosome (dog and owner), most donations raised. Judging will take place before the event starts. Registration from 7pm in the Guildhall, walk starts 7.30pm £5 to register (payable at the event). 4. Monster Making in the CCA
To celebrate Halloween 2022 CCA invites illustrator Grace Fairley to lead a MONSTER MAKING workshop suitable for all ages. Have you ever dreamed of creating your own weird and wonderful friend? They might have four arms, be green and furry, or have two heads! If you have, visit the monster making workshop. You will be using a broad range of materials including card, paint, wool, felt and pipe cleaners to make your own funky lil creature! Drop into into CCA 6pm–8pm, Friday 28 and 1pm–4pm Saturday 29 October 2022. No booking is necessary for this free workshop. The gallery will also open until 9pm on 28–29 October, and 6–9pm on 30 October, giving you the chance to see the current exhibition. Workshop 6–8pm 28 October, gallery open until 9pm.
