2,063 penalty notices issued to Derry/Strabane motorists for parking in accessible bays
Over 2,000 penalty notices were issued to motorists for parking in accessible bays without a Blue Badge in Derry and Strabane over the past two years.
The level of fines issued here was among the highest in the North.
Between May 2024 and May 2026, there was a total of 2,063 Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) locally.
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins provided details of the number of parking charges, associated with wrongly parking in disabled parking bays in response to an Assembly Question.
