32CSM to mark 110th anniversary of Easter Rising with Republic Day wreath-laying and oration
The 110th anniversary of the Easter Rising will be marked with a short wreath-laying cemetery at the Republican Plot in Derry City Cemetery on Friday.
Members of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement (32 CSM) will pay tribute to the seven signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic at 1pm on April 24, the exact calendar anniversary of Easter Monday, 1916, when the Easter Rising began.
Michael Gallagher will give an oration at the Republic Day demonstration.
"On April 24 110 years ago Irish revolutionaries declared an Irish Republic and set in train a serious of events that struck a blow against British Imperialism.

"We call on Republicans to rededicate ourselves and strive for the implementation of the Republic established in 1916 and ratified in 1919.
"32CSM call on Republicans who wish to honour the men and women of 1916 and all those who gave their lives for the Republic to attend,” a spokesperson said.
