Sinn Féin Councillor Peter Anderson said: "These buildings can't come down quickly enough. My only hope now is that the builders are given the space they need to carry out their work and the children stop trying to use this site as play ground.
"This is a long term project and the quicker this building comes down, the better it will be for everybody."
