66 brilliant photographs of people celebrating at Derry parties in August 2004

The Streets, Busted and Usher were riding high in the pop music charts, Shrek 2, Spiderman 2 and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban were the summer blockbusters that had people glued in local cinemas and Stephen Kenny was putting together his famous, first Derry City squad.

It was August 2004 and the great Derry public had the usual birthdays and special occasions to celebrate. The ‘Journal’s photographers were there to capture this moment in time for the historic record.
