The event offered an opportunity to celebrate Indian culture and promote understanding, inclusion and positive relationships locally.
Attendees enjoyed a Bollywood screening, alongside a display of Indian culture, with snacks provided to enhance the experience.
This year’s theme, ‘Include’, highlighted the importance of building stronger communities where everyone feels welcomed, valued and respected. The Bollywood Movie Night reflected this message by bringing people together through the shared enjoyment of film, food and culture.
The event aimed to encourage cultural exchange, celebrate diversity and create an inclusive environment where people from different backgrounds could come together, learn about one another and strengthen community relationships.
Dr Mukesh Chugh, one of the organisers said: “Through initiatives such as this, Good Relations Week continues to highlight the value of inclusion, mutual respect and understanding in building a stronger, more connected community in Derry.”
