Bronagh Gallagher special guest for Foyle Hospice Vintage Fashion Show & Luncheon
Bronagh Gallagher will join the Foyle Hospice for its much-loved Vintage Fashion Show & Luncheon at The Ebrington Hotel this September.
Foyle Hospice is bringing fashion, fun and a little glamour when the show returns with a brand-new theme – Cocktails & Catwalks.
Taking place on Sunday, September 20, this year’s event will welcome Bronagh Gallagher as special guest, with Sarah Travers compèring.
Tickets are £35 per person and are available online through Foyle Hospice or directly from the Foyle Hospice Fundraising Office, 61 Culmore Road.

This year’s Cocktails & Catwalks theme will bring together a drinks reception, luncheon and fashion show.
Special guest Bronagh Gallagher said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Cocktails & Catwalks this year. Foyle Hospice means so much to people right across this city and the wider community, and there is something really special about an event that can bring people together, give everyone a brilliant day out and, at the same time, support such important care.
“And I have to say, the combination of vintage fashion, a good lunch and a cocktail or two sounds like a fairly great way to spend a Sunday. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Compère Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Foyle Hospice for Cocktails & Catwalks. There is always such warmth around Hospice events because behind all the fun and fundraising is a community that genuinely cares about what the Hospice does.
“There will be plenty happening on the catwalk, some fabulous fashion and hopefully a few surprises along the way. I’m really looking forward to helping make it a memorable afternoon.”
Jackie McMonagle, Foyle Hospice Shops Manager, said: “For one afternoon, our shop rails become a runway.
“Our teams see incredible pieces donated every week… beautiful clothes, unusual finds, vintage pieces and items that sometimes just need someone to spot their potential. Cocktails & Catwalks gives us the chance to have a bit of fun with that and show just how stylish shopping pre-loved can be.
“There is also a lovely story behind every outfit on that catwalk. Someone has donated it to Foyle Hospice, our teams and volunteers have given it another opportunity to be loved, and ultimately it is helping us raise money for Hospice care. Fashion really can make a difference.”
Sheila Duffy, Director of Income Generation and Communications at Foyle Hospice, said: “There is a great energy around the Vintage Fashion Show every year. People come with friends and family, they dress up, enjoy themselves and make a real occasion of it but importantly, they are doing all of that while standing behind their local Hospice.
“Events like this remind us just how much Foyle Hospice belongs to this community. The care provided here is made possible in no small part because people choose to turn up, buy a ticket, donate to our shops, volunteer, fundraise and support us.
“We never take that support for granted. Every ticket sold is another contribution towards ensuring specialist palliative care is here when a local patient or family needs it.
“With Bronagh Gallagher joining us as our special guest, Sarah Travers keeping us all on track and our shops team already working on the catwalk looks, I think Cocktails & Catwalks is going to be a very special afternoon.”
