They had been living in England with family, but are being brought home to Derry for burial.

Fr Michael McCaughey from the Parish of the Three Patrons will conduct the Requiem Mass in Derry this morning.

Sergeant Pete Tate, from Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, who is leading the investigation into the crash which claimed the lives of the two girls, said: “This is a tragic incident for all involved and we would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives.”

Following the tragic deaths, relatives of Shauna and Kelsey Marie held a balloon launch in their memory in Derry.
