Halloween fun for all the family across Inishowen this weekend

On Saturday and Sunday, Swan Park in Buncrana will celebrate the ancient tradition of Samhain or Halloween with an exhilarating experience suitable for all ages from 5pm-
9pm.
Inishowen Carnival Group will be working with a number of Buncrana groups to present a sculpture and performance trail, featuring large scale characters, illuminated sculptures and a host of ghostly performers. From 5pm – 6pm the trail will be open with gentle background music playing to provide an ideal time for a younger audience to visit or for people with auditory sensitivities.

Hide AdFollowing this, from 6pm things will begin to get a little bit spookier with the first of three performances being repeated at 7pm and 8pm.
Also on Saturday, at the IOSAS Centre in Muff, there will be a pumpkin sale and fun day, with lots of for all the family. With pumpkin carving, guess the weight of the pumpkin, pumpkin soup, Halloween treats, a country market, fancy dress competition, face painting, organic vegetables, market stalls and much, much more, the big event takes place from 10:30 to 2:30pm and everyone is welcome.
On Saturday evening, at 6pm, will be the Voices of the Sea Halloween Carnival in Carndonagh. Always a spectacular event, it begins at 5pm, with admission five euro and under 12s go free.
There are also spooky goings on in Redcastle right across this week and next week, with their fabulous Scarecrow Walk. This year, there will also be a ‘Walk of Horror’ on the Shore Lane on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 from 6.30-9pm and a Halloween Fancy Dress Disco on Saturday 29 from 4-5.30pm.

Hide AdAnd on Sunday in Moville, the Mullan Hope Centre will host Spooktacular Halloween Markets from 12-4pm. With a photobooth, glitter tattoos, pumpkin carving, fancy dress with spot prizes for best dressed on the day, over 40 traders with something for all the family, ghoulish pizzas, spooky Indian dishes, music, teas, coffees and tray bakes and spooky props to view from local national schools.
