Local republicans marched from Westland Street from 2pm via Elmwood Terrace, Eastway and Iniscarn to the City Cemetery for the main oration.
The event was chaired by local councillor Sandra Duffy, who stated: “The journey to Irish unity continues at pace and we will not be found wanting in treading that path, in memory of those who have gone before and ensuring our children and grandchildren experience the promises made in the 1916 proclamation.”
