Martin McGuinness ballad to go on general release this Sunday via iTunes and Spotify

The Martin Mc Guinness Peace Foundation has announced that a ballad written in tribute to Martin is to go on general release from Sunday, June 28.

The new song ‘Where My Heart Will Always Be’ was composed by local man Paul McGilloway and is performed by local singer Ciara McCafferty.

A spokesperson for the Peace Foundation said: “Following the hugely successful online tribute to Martin on what would have been his 70th birthday, the Peace Foundation was contacted by many people seeking a copy of the ballad.

“After discussions with the writer of the ballad, Paul McGilloway and performers Ciara McCafferty, Ciarán Carlin and Ramon Ferguson, it has been agreed to release the ballad online via iTunes and Spotify with all proceeds going to the Martin Mc Guinness Peace Foundation.

“We would like to thank all of those who participated in the online tribute to Martin on what would have been his 70th birthday.

“The warm and heartfelt contributions from singers, musicians, political leaders and friends demonstrated the impact that Martin had on so many lives and that his legacy is still very much alive today.”
