NMT’s ‘Autumn Programme’ launched with Brunch at Derry's Pilot’s Row

The programme, which is funded by ‘Awards for All’ includes a walking club, cooking, Pilates, yoga, gardening classes, a regular ‘Monday Meet’ for the men’s group, day trips and lots, lots more.

Calling in to celebrate Friday’s launch, the City and District’s Mayor, Grace Ui Niallais took time from her busy schedule to meet and greet those in attendance and said she was delighted to highlight the sterling work carried out by the NMT through the annual programme.

She said: "It was a privilege to join the Neighbourhood Management Team today at Pilot’s Row to celebrate the launch of their fantastic Autumn Programme.

“Groups like the Hen’s Shed and Men’s Group play a vital role in our community, offering people a welcoming space to stay active and connect with others.

“The NMT team and ‘Awards for All’ have developed a diverse and engaging schedule and I encourage everyone in the local area to get involved.”

Donna McCloskey, manager at the Neighbourhood Management Team added that it was great to see so many from the local community turn out for the launch and to enjoy the brunch and morning’s entertainment.

“The numbers at today’s event were great to see and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I’d like to thank our funders ‘Awards For All’ for their continued support, our Mayor, Grace for her attendance and our staff for the hard work they put in to make today’s event such a success.”
