Primark stores will be offering extended opening hours across Belfast, Ballymena, Lisburn, Newtonabbey, Newtownards, Newry, Londonderry/Derry and Omagh on April 30.

Friday - April 30 - is the date many of us have been waiting on, getting back into non-essential shops.

A statement from Primark says that “safety remains Primark’s number one priority so employees and customers can return to stores with confidence, maintaining the high safety standards in place in stores over the past year”.

It adds that Primark will have additional security and dedicated employee marshals on hand to help manage customer queues outside stores, as well as extensive safety measures in-store.

And this includes a strict social distancing protocol, limits on the number of customers allowed in store, requiring the use of face coverings while in store, hand sanitisation stations at entrances, perspex screens and cubicles at till points and increased in-store cleaning.

Primark will also have extended opening hours across all nine stores in Northern Ireland to help reduce queues, spread demand and give customers more time to shop safely.

For the first week initially, all stores will open at 8am (excluding Sunday), with some stores opening later in the evening.

Times will vary by store so customers should check their local opening hours.

The company statement adds that Primark is set to welcome customers back to its nine stores in Northern Ireland this Friday 30 April with fresh new Spring/Summer collections ready and waiting to be

snapped up.

Highlights include its new season womenswear collections, starring relaxed tailoring looks in gelato-inspired tones, denim in candy pastels and bold gingham prints, while menswear

essentials also have a summer refresh featuring cool new shirts and easy to wear everyday shorts and tees.

Customers will also love the new Primark Cares featuring Disney range made with sustainable cotton and recycled materials, and not forgetting the ever popular kidswear summer styles.

It’s not just fashion: homewares, beauty and accessories have all had a new season update.
