Rainbow Project launches ‘Before I Die Wall’ for Derry and Strabane LGBTQ+ community

Members of the Derry and Strabane LGBTQ+ community are being invited to share their hopes and ambitions on a ‘Before I Die Wall’ installed at the Rainbow Project’s office on Magazine Street.

The interactive wall encourages people to write down something they would like to achieve in their lifetime, as part of an initiative aimed at promoting reflection, visibility and community engagement.

A spokesperson for the Derry Rain Project said: “This is open to all LGBTQIA+ individuals. Come on in and share something that you'd like to do before you die - whether it's something on your bucket list, a dream of yours, or something practical. Call in, grab a cuppa and take your time to write your message & take part in this LGBTQIA+ community art project.

“This is a chance to reflect on your own mortality and consider what matters most to you.”

Anyone wishing to add to the wall can do so until Friday, with access available from 11am to 4pm.

If you are unable to make it in person the Rainbow Project said you can share your message here https://www.rainbow-project.org/before-i-die-wall and they will write it for you.
