Second edition of 'La Trinidad Valencera' by David Atherton to be launched in Inishowen Maritime Museum
The launch of the second edition of La Trinidad Valencera by David Atherton is to take place this Wednesday, November 26 in Inishowen Maritime Museum in Greencastle.
David, one of the divers responsible for the recovery of the artefacts from the wreck at Kinnagoe, has dedicated much of his life to researching and documenting the history of the ship, and the journey that its discovery began for him and the others involved in the venture.
The first edition was highly regarded and widely praised as a fine and well-researched publication.
The first edition has long been out of print. So, when David was discussing the various things he had learned and uncovered in the time since the first publication, it was felt that it was time to get a second edition underway.

A spokesperson for Inishowen Maritime Museum said the second edition of La Trinidad Valencera is ‘another fine piece of work by Dave and is much more than simply a second edition as it contains new information and images, and a new layout and design directed by Dave himself.’
The publication was funded by Inishowen Maritime Museum and National Monuments Service and published by Dunaff Productions.
Everyone is invited to the launch, which takes place at 7pm.
